USC Health Services Department Enforce the Following Precautions Against the Spread of Ifluenza A(H1N1) Virus
(As quoted from Dr. Arco's Letter, Head of USC Health Services, Dated: June 8, 2009)
Amidst the scare of this health crisis today and with the opening of classes, I would like to strictly enforce and implement the following recommendations:
1. A minimum of 10 days "voluntary self-quarantine" to all personnel and students who have just arrived from travel abroad or those who have recent contact with persons suspected or confirmed with Influenza (H1N1).
2. Any person who has fever or manifest the flu-like symptoms but is NOT SUSPECTED to have Influenza A(H1N1) must stay home and seek medical care to completely rule out A(H1N1) Flu.
3. Any person SUSPECTED of having influenza A(H1N1) must stay home and inform immediately their respective Campus Clinic Staff or report directly to DOH 7 Hotline: 4187636
We all need your cooperation to prevent the spread of the disease. As the saying goes, " An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure", still holds true in these times of crisis.
